Southwest and Adobe style is built for sun and warm climates: thick walls that hold cool air through the heat of the day, low-pitched or flat roofs, rounded edges and earth-toned stucco, and shaded outdoor rooms that do as much living as the inside. Influences run from traditional Pueblo and adobe building to Spanish Revival and Desert Modern.
